The Arrest Referral Scheme is based at Snow hill and Bishopsgate police stations.If someone is arrested fr a "trigger offence "( where drug abuse is likley to be a conritbuting factor) they will be drug-tested by the plice and if the result is positive for class A's, they will then be assessed by an arrest referral practioner based there. the next stage is to then start (or restart) treatment or to accept some harm minimisation advice about their drug use . If the perso is arrested for a non-trigger offence but would like surport, advice or a referral into treatment they can request it from the custody sergeant or an arreast referral practitioner visting the cells.
  2. the Homerton Specialist Addiction Unit in Hackney is a high quality NHS service which offers a range of treatment services for people using drugs in the city of London incliding:
  • precribing
  • counseling
  • testing for hepatitis B,C and HIV
  • vaccinations
  • sexual health screening
  • relapse prevention
  • therapy

3. The City Outreach Service provides harm reductionadvice and needle exchange to those who sleep rough in
the City. They can also refer people to other servicessuch as GP's and Drug treatment.

4. The City Tenancy Surpport Scheme gives housing surport to vulnerable residents who live within the city
boundary or who live in property provided by the City of London. this service helps with tenancy , welfare benifits
budgeting,advice.People can be refered to us by the City DAT, adult services, and City Housing Department.

5. The City Care Management Service for substance misuse is a dedicated service for those who in contact with
drug services in the City. The service provides care coordination,assesment for detox, rehab, throughcare and
aftercare surpport.
