The City of London's Service Users Group(sug)
Introduction
Welcome to the City of London (COL) Service Users Group's (SUG) website. Recent changes in government legislation have dictated that "Service Users" should have at least some if not the majority of influence in the treatment/methods and policy (i.e. an influence regarding their own treatment in the COL and surrounding area's) but mainly for client's that live within the city's square mile, as this is where the D.A.T's jurisdiction is mostly applicable.
Though the COL SUG's is mainly affiliated with the Drug/Action/Team the group always strives to be independent in their views and objectives, towards Drug and Alcohol treatment, its always the clients needs that come first. Opinions are equally valued regardless of personal circumstance or status, to put it bluntly everyone is welcome to attend our meetings, without fear of any untoward opinions or judgements against them or to hold fear that they will be treated differently because of their situation.
The Drug/Action/Team (D.A.T) is in the Square Mile of London and has a Users Group meeting every other Friday. This lasts about an hour and is a chance for the users to get together and have a chat about the services that they are receiving and to get help in their recovery from Alcohol and Drug abuse.
